Showcase your cultural identity through art, interactive activities/services (henna, crafts etc.), demonstrations (origami, sari tying, dancing, etc.), display of country history, photo displays, and/or selling of products that are authentic to your country.

Size and cost
Cultural Pavilion size and cost varies depending on size and scope of the showcase and if Pavilion organizers have sponsor/partner involvement. Fees may be waived if not-for-profit organization is involved with pavilion.

Pavilions range in size – 10'x10', 10'x20', 20'x20' or larger. Festival Managers will work closely with Pavilion organizers to develop a strategy to support their vision. Let’s start with these three options: 

A. $200 plus tax:
- 10’ x 10’ tent including walls
- Up to three 6’ tables
- Up to 10 folding chairs
- Bridge Festival branded signage
- Basic clip-on light
- Additional power may be requested for an extra fee

B. $400 plus tax:
- 10’ x 20’ tent including walls
- Up to six 6’ tables
- Up to 20 folding chairs
- Bridge Festival branded signage
- Basic clip-on light
- Additional power may be requested for an extra fee

C. $800 plus tax:
- 20’ x 20’ tent including walls
- Up to ten 6’ tables
- Up to 30 folding chairs
- Bridge Festival branded signage
- Basic clip-on light
- Additional power may be requested for an extra fee

Eligibility requirements
- The Cultural Pavilion must appropriately reflect the culture and heritage of a country
- The participant agrees to keep District staff updated on the planning progress and to accept regular meetings
- The participant is committed to decorating and presenting the pavilion with creativity and effort
- Each participant must activate the pavilion with a minimum of 5 quality activities throughout the two days of the festival. Activities can include, but are not limited to: displays, demonstrations, workshops, games, crafts, educational activities and presentations
- Sale of goods and food is permitted, as long as it is culturally relevant and has prior approval from festival staff
- Sale of food and food samples must be approved by Vancouver Coastal Health
- The participant must provide volunteers or staff to maintain the pavilion active during pavilion operating times
- The pavilion participant is responsible to follow and communicate load-in and load out information, which will be sent closer to the festival date, to its staff and volunteers
- A Cultural Pavilion is allowed to be coordinated by multiple community and commercial partners, as long as the pavilion is presented cohesively
- Styrofoam, single use plastic straws and balloons are not permitted
- The participant agrees to dispose of all garbage recyclable material produced by the pavilion by properly sorting it into correct Green Chair sorting stations
- If the participant fails to dispose of garbage and recyclable material as deemed by District staff, a $100 fine will be charged
